Keith and the Girl starting guide!

Ok dus ik ben helemaal verslaafd aan Keith and the Girl. KATG is de populairste podcast van wereld mag ik denk ik wel zeggen en is een comedy show. Als je geen idee hebt wat een podcast is, of wat je je moet voorstellen van Keith and the Girl kun je het het beste vergelijken met een komedische talk show. Keith Malley, die een stand up comedian is, en Chemda, aka the Girl die een Arabische zangeres is, lullen elke door de weekse dag een show vol, met gemiddeld zo'n 1 uur aan content per show.

In de show praten ze over van alles, hun sex leven, hun haat tegen mede mensen en collegas etc, gewoon werkelijk alles. Ze zijn niet genuanceerd en zijn juist zeer expliciet.

Oke heel leuk allemaal maar wat heb je nou nodig om dit te gaan luisteren? Daarvoor deze post met een Keith and the Girl starters guide en ook een beetje een iPod starters Guide aangezien ik de een niet zonder de ander zie.

Download!

Download ten eerste de hele database van KATG. Het geweldige van deze podcast is dat ze alle shows nog te download hebben staan. O ja, had ik al gezegd dat het gratis is?
Op dit moment zijn er al 370 shows dus je kunt er een tijdje mee voort.

Om ze te downloaden heb je een zogenaamde 'Aggregator' nodig die speciaal voor podcast is zoals Juice. Maar ik raad iTunes aan, dat is voor de meeste mensen niet lastig in gebruik en daarnaast komt iTunes ook nog te pas als we bij het iPod gedeelte komen.
Download dus eerst de nieuwste iTunes en installeer deze. Als je dan de taakbalk bekijkt (bovenin iTunes) zie je in het horizontale rijtje van menu's 'Geadvanceerd' staan of, als je engelse iTunes hebt, 'Advanced'. Klik op 'Abonneer op Podcast' (Subscribe to Podcast) en kopieer de volgende URL, en plak het in de window die zonet is verschenen bij iTunes en klik op OK;

Ik raad je aan om te beginnen met luisteren bij show 1, dan show 2 en zo verder. Je zou eventueel de nieuwe shows kunnen gaan volgen en ondertussen de oudere luisteren, het ligt eraan wat je zelf wilt.

Waar je wilt wanneer je wilt!

Een must have voor de volledige KATG ervaring is een iPod. Het is gewoon geweldig om te kunnen luisteren wanneer je wilt en waar je wilt. Aangezien Keith and the Girl op dit moment ook 2 shows online hebben staan die (tegen betaling van 5 dollar) te downloaden zijn in mp4 formaat omdat die zijn opgenomen met een video camera, en omdat het gewoon heel handig is om ook andere videos mee te kunnen nemen, raad ik je aan een iPod video te nemen. Een 30 gig is voor de meeste mensen genoeg.

Omdat je toch al alle shows had gedownload met iTunes, kun je nu heel gemakkelijk je iPod aansluiten op je computer en zet iTunes alle Keith and the Girl shows op je iPod in de speciale Podcast sectie op je iPod. Het handige hiervan is dat je niet alleen shows automatisch op je iPod krijgt zodra iTunes ze heeft gedownload, de shows die je luistert via de podcast sectie op je iPod worden automatisch gebookmarked.
wat dat inhoud? Stel je zit bijvoorbeeld een show te luisteren op je iPod en je pauzeert die even omdat je muziek wilt luisteren. Als je dan terug gaat op je iPod via die podcast sectie naar die show die je aan het luisteren was, gaat die gewoon weer verder waar je gebleven was. Zeer handig aangezien je niet altijd een uur achter elkaar de mogelijkheid hebt om aandachtig te luisteren.

Omdat je je iPod wel mooi wil houden, raad ik je nu even een bepaald bescherm hoesje aan wat mij zeer is bevallen. Op zich heeft dit minder met KATG te maken maar toch is dit wel een bruikbare tip. Een hoesje wat ik nu heb en mij zeer bevalt is het belkin Flip Case hoesje wat je kan kopen voor zo'n 20 a 25 euro.

Overige, niet vereiste, KATG benodigheden

Wil je echt alle shows van KATG dan zul je (op dit moment) 10 dollar moeten uitgeven. Show 300 en Show 354 zijn beide opgenomen met videocamera met een live publiek. Iedere show kost 5 dollar per stuk. Waarschijnlijk zullen er in de toekomst meer bij komen. Je kunt ze hier aanschaffen.

Om mee te kletsen over de show en mensen te ontmoeten die ook fan zijn van de show is het zeer leuk om je aan te melden voor de KATG forums.

Wil je meedoen met de Suck a Dick Wednessday (om erachter te komen wat dat is verwijs ik je naar show #107) dan moet je gewoon een KATG T-shirt hebben die kan kan kopen in de Keith and the Girl Store.

Als laatste is het handig om Winamp te hebben als je live wil luisteren naar shows. Keith en Chemda doen namelijk tegenwoordig elke show live via een live winamp feed, nemen het ondertussen op en zetten dat online als podcast. Om live te luisteren heb je dus winamp nodig, de chat is er ook nog en als je nog wil bellen naar KATG tijdens een live show heb je Skype nodig.

Come flOw with me, let's flOw, let's flOw away!

'Een hands on? Met de PS3? Terwijl we nog een dik jaar moeten wachten op de PS3 (in Europa)?' Nee nee nee. Rustig maar. Bewaar je jaloezie want ik heb niet de PS3 mogen aanschouwen of betasten wat dat betreft. 'Maar dit is toch de hands on met flOw, het spelletje voor de PS3 die je kan bemachtigen via de online service?' Ja en Nee. Ik zal het even uitleggen;

FlOw is zoals de meeste niet weten een flash spelletje gecreëerd door Jenova Chen, de maker van een met award bekroond puzzel spelletje genaamd Cloud. Van het flash spelletje flOw, wat je overigens ook zelf uitgebreid kan spelen op de officiële site, word een versie gemaakt voor de PS3. Het is nog niet bekend of het een vervolg zal worden van het origineel of een rechtstreekse port. Daarnaast is ook de prijs nog niet bekend. Enkel de besturing, die natuurlijk volledig gebruikmaakt van de motion tilt, en wat screenshots;

Maar laten we beginnen met de hands on die dus van de originele flash versie is. FlOw is een spel dat je het best kan vergelijken met Electroplankton voor de Nintendo DS. In flOw heb je de controle over een schepsel wat nog het meest lijkt op een klein water organisme. Je bevind telkens in een laag van de oceaan en doormiddel van het absorberen van bepaalde andere kleine water beestjes kun je dieper de oceaan in duiken of juist wat meer omhoog gaan.

Het doel is eigenlijk heel simpel gezegd om te leven en te evolueren. In flOw kom je verschillende amfibieën tegen. Kleintjes die je kunt eten om te groeien, andere weer om te evolueren en weer andere zijn gevaarlijk. Zolang ze je niet zien zijn ze wit, maar kijk uit want als ze oranje zijn betekend het dat ze je proberen aan te vallen. En zij eten dan lichaam delen op die jij hebt verkregen door middel van die kleinere amfibieën. Gelukkig hebben deze gevaarlijke grotere organismen ook zwakte punten op hun lichaam die je kunt absorberen en vervolgens op die manier 'verslaat'.

Elke actie wordt vergezeld door een zweverige melodie die mij weer erg doen denken aan Electroplankton. Het spel is zeer goed op gebouwd, zonder echte doelstellingen kan je vrolijk in het rond zwemmen en doen wat je wild. Hoe dieper je gaat hoe gevaarlijker het wordt en hoe meer het begint aan te voelen als een uitgebreid spel met vijanden en de hele zooi.
Als ik hetgeen wat ik op de screenshots van de PS3 versie zie vergelijk met de dingen die ik ben tegen gekomen in de flash game, lijkt het erop dat de PS3 versie toch wat meer diepgang krijgt. Maar aan de andere kant kan het ook zijn dat ik gewoon nog even letterlijk en figuurlijk dieper in het spel moet duiken.

Uiteindelijke verwachtingen;
Een Electroplankton maar dan met een doel, verandering en diep gang.
Het spel is erg leuk uitgewerkt, kunstzinnig maar toch vermaakzaam. Het is gewoon geweldig om langzaam die wereld te ontdekken en te evolueren.
Zeer benieuwd naar de PS3 versie en hoe de controls daarop werken. Maar tot die tijd kunnen we genieten van de originele flash game.

Oke dus door geeky stuff zoals Penny-Arcade en de intro van de vodcast Geekdrome ben ik ondertussen er wel achter gekomen dat er iets heel erg geeky gaafs is aan een 20 sided dice of te wel een d20. Met dat soort dobbelsteen worden hele nerdy table top games gespeeld zoals het oude Dungeon & Dragons.

Dus vanmiddag heb ik een setje dobbelstenen gekocht met onderandere een d20, d10 en nog wat andere. Heel gaaf. Heel Geek. Wat leuke kiekjes ervan geschoten. Dus... wat heb ik er ook al weer aan?

Ik was eerst van plan om te gaan bloggen over Sony's kleine foutje. Maar toen had ik de trailer van '300' nog niet gezien.

Deze film is gepland voor 2007 en is een verfilming van Frank Miller's Graphic Novel getiteld, inderdeed; 300. Frank Miller ken je misschien wel van Sin City, die overigens ook zeer succesvol is verfilmd.
'300' ziet er ongeloofelijk gaaf uit en geeft een ontzettend sterke sfeer mee. Als ik het zou moeten vertellen aan iemand zou dat erg moeilijk zijn aangezien het verhaal eigenlijk niet zo erg indrukwekkend of origineel is. Maar de manier waarop de dingen zijn gefilmd, de kleuren schema's, dialogen, decors etc. Alles voelt heel erg gaaf aan deze film.

Ik doe een voorspelling waar ik, wanneer ik de film heb gezien, op terug zal komen en kijken of ik gelijk had; '300' wordt een van de beste films van 2007.

En anders is het altijd nog 1 van de vetste trailers!

They Are Coming!

Zo mag reclame en dergelijke spam wel vaker in de brievenbus terecht komen. Gisteren ontvingen wij de hierboven afgebeelde kartonnen enveloppe.
Het enige wat erop stond was dus They Are Coming en een logo/naam tag 'Blue Man Group'.
Erg benieuwd naar de inhoud opende ik het en tot mijn verbazing zaten er 2 drumsticks in!
Naast een erg leuke goodie stond er ook een URL op, dus nieuwschierig welk ontzettend gaaf bedrijf dit nou verzond als advertentie of dergelijke surfde ik naar http://www.bluemangroup.nl

Het betreft dus een theateraale musikale groep die, heel simpel gezegd, trommelen!
Geweldige manier om mensen aan te trekken en een zeer coole reclame stunt.

DIY Geek

Het ergste is mijn 'microfoon standaard' die ik zelf in elkaar heb geflanst door een gat in een schoene doos te douwen en daardoor mijn dynamische microfoon te doen.
Gelukkig is mijn nieuwse DIY een stuk vetter en ook wat meer geknutsel.

Materiaal;
-Plakband/tape
-Doos(je)
-Schaar
-iPod dock adapter
-iPod usb kabel

Heel simpel; Met de schaar een geleufje maken in de doos (ergens mooi in het midden of op een andere plek als je dat wenst) en die vervolgens steeds wat groter maken zodat de dock adapter er net in pas.
Druk de adapter er goed in en tap hem aan de binnenkant van de doos vast (van onderen). Dan kun je de usb kabel goed gaan plaatsen en die dus ook vast tapen.
Klaar! Let nog even op de details zoals goed stevig vast getaped, alles stevig vast etc.

OW SUMMAH TIME!

Today was the first day for me that I really felt the summer sensation. It was absolutely amazing weather here in the Netherlands. No clouds, blue sky, hot sunshine. I had a great day swimming with some buddy’s and we had great fun! More SUMMAH TIME videos of mine you can find on my new movie blog.

On the 14th of august I’m going on vacation with my folks to some foreign country. We haven’t desided yet which country but one thing I do know is that I really need some entertainment for the trip, and when I’m lying on the beach. So here is my must have’s for this summer’s entertainment;

1. iPod Video loaded with all 307 (and counting) Keith and the Girl shows, a season of your favorite TV serie and one or more movies.

2. A Book. A logical chose for entertainment when your on vacation I think. A book tip for the geeks; jPod from Douglas Coupland, Harry Potter (but come on, If you still haven’t read them all you should be ashamed of yourself), Dan Brown. Just to name a few

3. Nintendo DS (lite) packed with at least New Super Mario Bros. and Brain Age (aka Brain Training). Why not PSP? Well you already have an audio and video player (iPod) and in my opinion the PSP is too expensive for the little choice of good games there’s available for it.

4. Not really entertainment but very fun to do and also pretty popular; record some video’s of your vacation time and put them online. And to be able to do that you really need a… That’s right, a Video Camera; so buy a digital video camera if you have the money or be sure you have a camera phone which is able to record video.

5. Comics. Not everybody enjoys them but if you do or if you want too start reading comics then pick up on the Civil War event from Marvel, or search up the happenings of the ‘Infinite Crisis’ from DC and them buy the ‘52’ comics that releases a new one each week for a year (1 year = 52 weeks; 52! Get it!) and is the direct follow up of the infinite crisis.

Been a long time since my last post but don't worry. I was just entertaining myself, and off course refreshing the blog's appearance a bit as you can probably see. And now I will enlighten you about my entertaining entertainments!

Seeing Double
I'm enjoying the fuck out of my Nintendo DS lately. Since yesterday my Nintendo DS game collection consists of 17 games! My latest purchases are Brain Training, or better known in America as Brain Age, and New Super Mario Bros.
I absolutely love those 2. Brain Training is absolutely fabulous. Amazing how addictive calculating can be. And it really does help you to become 'smarter'. Very cool to keep track of your progress via the cool diagrams and graphics. Now I only have to do the ultimate test for this game; See if I can get my father to be hooked too!

New Super Mario Bros. Is totally different and although I said in the previous paragraph that I loved the game, it really is a mixed feeling. Before I purchased this new game from Nintendo, I off course read some reviews. And most of them were very positive and gave it 9.5 out of 10. But recently I read a little article that said that the game really didn't give such a unique or special feeling, but that it was more a tribute to previous classics such as Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World. And I have to admit. Although I love the game, the way it is played, the environments and all of it... It indeed does not give such a special unique game feeling. I really don't know what to think/say of it. One thing is sure; It is absolutely not a bad game, but it might just not be so good as its prequels. Anyway just buy it, because it’s a very fun and beautiful game.

Comedy trio
I'm absolutely hooked to comedy's at the moment. And in particular comedy's with Vince Vaughn, Will Ferrell or Owen Wilson, and most off the time, when one of those three are in a movies, the rest are too! Like Starksy and Hutch, Wedding Crashers, Old School. Very funny movies! Ohw another pretty fun movie to watch is Without a Paddle.
So just go to imdb.com and search for movies with Mr. Vaughn, Wilson or Ferrell ;)

Do you Think I'm Craaaazzzzyyy?!
And of course I've discovered some new music that I have been enjoying.
First off all there Gnarls Barkley with St. Everywhere which is a very funky and cool album with tracks that make me think of Gorillaz with there album Demon Days.
But to get some more into my regular music taste; Rock!
Damn what a treat it has been, and it isn’t even Christmas. There’s the Zutons, Orson, Morningwood, Fratellis, Arctic Monkeys and Motion City Soundtrack. I'M LOVIN IT!

So thats it for now. I'll try to post more regular in the future 'kay?

Anyway, I found this, for me, new website/podcast/webmagazine that I just totally fell in love with. It calls itself a online magazine that writes columns about mostly design. It's Japanese based but they write in English and also the Podcast is in English. They post some pretty geeky and cool stuff. I just can't repeat how much I love this site, the stuff the pick, the look of it, that they have a podcast.

It's just so nice. So if your a geek, design freak, somewhere in the middle... you know what? I think the fact that your on my blog right now is a pretty damn good reason for you to check out PingMag. And tell me what you think of it!

Okay so I discovered this AWESOME new hype. It's like Graffiti 2.0, the 21st century graffiti. It's very simple to make; You need a little led, a 3 volt battery, some ducktape and a magnet. Just put it al together and spam it on any metal object where ever you want! The coolest thing are the Led Bomings you do with groups.

Check out some of the Led Boming and Led throwies clips over at Graffiti Research Lab, the mother of Led Throwies! There you will also find the movie that started it all, and for a how-to instruction check this site.

Now go out and do some Led terrorism!

Ok when I first heard I was like;'ZOMFGWTFBBQ?!, I was afraid that it would be some horrible little guy but my first reaction to the photo was "That Frikin Awesome!"

It says that Jie-jie (thats the name off the kid) has some health problems but the feeling I get from the article is that it's nothing big! I really hope that this kid is gonna be healthy, cause he has some very cool arms!

New Look and Super Heroes art

Starters guide to Bittorrent

Ok so I just love Bittorrent. It’s easy, (mostly) save, free and popular (which causes that everything you want, you can find as a torrent). But not everybody digs it, or gets it to work. So that’s why I’m (again) providing a little guide here. One thing I do ask of you is that you know the regular jargon, all the words that I will use when I guide you to the wonderful world of Bittorrent. So for a little terminology I direct you to this page!

A torrent?!
Okay, I will explain a little bit of technical info here. If you don’t know how Bittorrent works you probably will never really get the whole picture, and often get confused when your downloading stuff. So with Bittorrent you don’t just download the actual file you want. With programs like Kazaa and Limewire you do, for example when you search in Kazaa for the movie ‘Ice Age’ and you find it, then you are downloading the movie directly.
With Bittorrent you are going to search for torrents. Torrents are certain files which will, let’s say, give you access to the actual file. You first download a torrent which is never more then a few kilobytes and then you open that with a certain Bittorrent program and then you begin downloading the actual file you want (Mp3’s, movies, whatever!).
And one more bit of techinfo; when you download the actual file, you don’t download it from one person or place. The torrent is shared by seeds and peers. Seeds are those who have finished downloading 100% and are only uploading. Peers are the people who are also downloading but are sharing (uploading) the parts that they already have.
So let’s start the Guide!

Client
First things first, you need a program, a so called client. With that you are going to open the torrents that you download, and download the actual files. Just like my Guide to Infinite Crisis I will guide you to the programs and places that work for me and will probably work for you as well. But don’t complain when it doesn’t I’m just speaking from my own experience.
Ok so the Client which is, in my opinion, the most efficient is called ‘uTorrent’ pronounced as micro torrent. It’s a stand alone program, which means that you don’t have to install it. It’s small and doesn’t suck up all your CPU. There’s also Azureus, Bitcommet and a whole lot of other stuff out there. They maybe have more features but most offend are also more complicated and they’re bigger programs which will suck up more CPU.
In the preferences, one of the most important things to set up is where to save the incomplete and complete downloaded files and how much torrents are allowed to be active at the same time

Where to get Torrents?!
So where the fuck am I going to find those torrents you are constantly talking about?’ That’s the question I’m going to answer for you right now. Torrents are always hosted on certain sites called trackers. Just to name a few of them; Piratebay, Mininova, Seedler. But it would be inefficient to have to search all the different trackers out there to find what you need. So off course there are a lot of search engines that are specialized in torrents and searches all the trackers for you. Two off the most useful ones in my opinion are Torrentz and isohunt. Although I find isohunt a bit better. Torrentz only gives you results if your search term is in the name of the torrent. Isohunt also gives results if your search term is in the files that are in the torrent.

Closing Comments
Okay well that’s pretty much it I guess. Pretty simple huh? Ohw for a little bit more jargon; When you search for movies you will find mostly Xvid and Divx coded files. To be able to play those you need Xvid and/or Divx codec installed so just do a Google search for that and you will find plenty of codec install packs. And for a little bit more help on the search results in movies; Dvdrip are movies that contain good, or maybe even perfect quality, cams and alike often indicate that the movie is recorded in the movie theater so you don’t want to see that, really bad quality!

Guide to Infinite Crisis

Ok so before you start reading this little amateur guide I want to play open cards with you here. I’m 15 years old, and I don’t have enough money to buy everything I want… who does? So I download comics, yes indeed, it’s true, I download comics. But not be to mad yet because I also buy them, the ones I really like. It’s just that I can’t buy everything that gets a good review or looks cool because some times there not and then I’ve spend my money on something worthless to me. So rest assured, I’m not a total n00b I also buy comics.

Let’s start! So I assume that you are a total newbie in Infinite Crisis, or you just don’t know much about the current state of the DC Universe. Either way, you’ve come here for a reason; You want help in how and where to start if you want to read and understand the Infinite Crisis. I’m only going to tell you what I’ve read, and what worked for me. If it’s not working for you, then don’t blame me for it.

For starters you are going to have to read DC Countdown (to Infinite Crisis). It’s a single issue, and it contains 80 pages for only a single buck! If you can’t find it anywhere in a comic store then you can always visit Wikipedia which is a very helpful friend in our journey to Infinite Crisis. So read the summary of Countdown, or buy the single issue and then you’ve pretty much read the prologue to Infinite Crisis.
Although it was enough to start for me, I’ve heard comic readers (who had much more knowledge then me) saying that another great jumping on point is Identity Crisis, which is a miniseries. So choose what ever works for you.

Next up is the Countdown to Infinite Crisis. After the 80 page single issue prologue thingy, DC published a few Mini Series which were all other aspects of the development of the crisis itself. I have chosen for the OMAC project, and until now I haven’t read any other mini series. That means that for me OMAC project was all it took, but again what ever works for you. There is also Day of Vengeance, Rann-Thanagar War, Return of Donna Troy (now Wikipedia) and Villians United. And yet again, for these comics also applies the rule;
If you can’t get a hold of it in the store, read a summary at Wikipedia (click on the miniseries name for a link).
On little side note though, that I’ve stumbled upon while reading OMAC project. The sneaky thing is this; If you get to OMAC project number 3, or actually the end of it, you discover that you can’t just start reading number 4, oh no! DC made sure that you would spend even more money because there is a sort of tie-in miniseries if you want to understand OMAC project #4. This tie-in/miniseries is called Sacrifice and Sacrifice starts in Superman number 219, part two is to be found in Action Comics #829, followed by Adventures of Superman #64 and to end this all; Wonder Woman #219. Now you are ready to continue the OMAC. (Too bad that it’s probably very hard to find those exact issues and besides that Wikipedia doesn’t have a summary on this either. Now we are almost there, the Infinite Crisis is only few comics away. Because although I thought after reading OMAC project that I was ready for Infinite Crisis #1, I was wrong! There are just 5 other issues of comics you need to read. It’s called Crisis of Conscience and it’s a story within the JLA comic. Although you do have to find 5 issues of the JLA, be glad full that Crisis of Conscience isn’t jumping from one comic series to the next (such as Sacrifice does). Okay so this all starts in JLA #115 and wraps up in JLA#119. Now it is finally time to start the actual Infinite Crisis!

Okay so I’m sure that I don’t need to help you with the actual Infinite Crisis miniseries… Just look up the minisiries, it’s 7 isseus and I’m sure you can also find a summary on Wikipedia, download it via whatever download method you desire and off course, no doubt about it, very soon there will be a trade paper back version off it.
But I do want to give you just a little bit more advice; Infinite Crisis issue 1 can give you an unfamiliar feeling, as if your not going to get the whole series. Relax! In Infinite Crisis #2 there is a whole lot of history telling that might be boring for the DC fans but is very helpful for us n00bies.

And then my final words; After Infinite Crisis you might be thinking about starting to read Superman, Wonder Woman and who knows what comic series your interested in. But be aware, when DC released Infinite Crisis #5 they made a big change in there regular comic series; they all skipped one year. So the Superman series, Batman, Green lantern and all those funny books are not, and I repeat not directly continuing where the Infinite Crisis ended. For the missing year, the year that does directly follow up the Infinite Crisis DC is launching a new series which is pretty intense.
It is called 52, and a new issue appears every week for a year long. They call it a real time comic. It should be a very good series and that for a year long! At the time I’m typing this DC released just 2 days ago week two of ‘52’. So enjoy and I hope I have helped you!

A crisis to get into 'Infinite Crisis'

I'm a Geek, so I read comics. I enjoy them very much and have always embrased them. But never have I really made it an hobby of mine. Untill now. I started visiting some forums and listening to some podcast about comics, hoping to find suggestions and opinions about good jumping on points in comic book series.

So right now I find myself reading Civil War (great jumping on point for the Marvel Universe) and reading some Dare Devil, the run done by Bendis and Maleev. Ohw yeah I also found some New Avengers and Marvel Zombies... a lot of Marvel huh?

Yeah I thought so too, so now I'm beginning to carefully get some grip in the DC universe, altough I'm not sure this was the best time to start. You see, DC is now having one of it's most biggest events off all; The Infinite Crisis. It's been going on for at least a year right now. The Infinite Crisis itself has finished, but i'm just starting. The deal is that you have to read a whole lot of diffrent comics to finally understand the story of the Infinite Crisis itself.

Anyway I think I'm almost there now, so you can expect a big feature soon here on Calculator giving you a helping hand in reading the Infinite Crisis!

Textcasts.. RSS feeds anyone?!

So this Slate.com news site already has 2 podcast; The Explainer and the Daily Podcast.
Both are daily podcast, and I don't have a clue what they are about. That’s not the point. Slate.com is now presenting a Textcast.. 'A what?!'

Yeah so the deal is that Slate is offering a daily recapturing off the most important news items in text format. The way you receive it, is by the way only compatible with iPod and iTunes, is as a regular podcast. The difference is that the audio is 15 minutes of silence and you can find the actual text (your newspaper as you can call it I guess) in the description of the podcast.

It's a funny idea and I might even subscribe but that’s not the point. My problem with this is that Slate is presenting this as something entirely new; After Podcast, Vodcast now Textcast! But hellooo?! Don't we have Pod2go (For windows also) which with we can subscribe to all our desired news sites that has RSS feeds?!

It’s a funny idea but it's a big detour for something we all know for so long now; RSS feeds!

When I say Macbook you say w00t!

There's the new Macbooks released by Apple today! We already were familiar with the 15 or 17 inch Macbook Pro's. Shipping at $1999 you would get an 15 inch screen, 2.0 GHz, 80 gb hard drive, 512 MB working space, an iSight and what not.

But where was the 12 inch?! Well today Apple came with an answer; the Macbook 13 inch.
So what's up with it? Apple threw away the 'Pro' tag, it's available only in 13 inch, either black or white (black being automatically the more expensive version, and white the cheaper version).

White (cheap); 1.83 GHz, 60 gigs hard drive, 512 MB working space, writes only CD and iSight. Shipping at $1099
Black (expensive); 2.0 GHz, 80 gigs hard drive, 512 MB working space, writes also DVD and iSight. Shipping at $1499

My Opinion; for 1099 dollars you get a very slick Macbook, with perfect specs, so you can't write DVD’s... So what?! But one thing is a pity; the cheap one isn't black... Although if the cheap one would be black, Apple probably would be sued for ‘racism’:P

Ok, so I wanted a new blog.. wait a NEW blog? Nooooo not another one..

Oh yeah, maybe you havent heard but I'm real good at making new blogs, I used to make a new one each month caus each month I made a blog about something else. But when I started Babbling Bryan Blog, a ripp-off Babbling Bryan Show, I thought I found solid ground. Eghhhh (Wrong anwser noise)!!! Guess again!

So I reaalllly hope that I do have a permanant blog with this. Simple Title, Easy to remember and totally topic related; GEEK!
